I started teaching and coaching in Tahoka, Texas in 1990. I have had several stops over the last 29 years. I have been in Snyder, Merkel, Sweetwater, Big Spring and finally in Bushland where I have done everything from a classroom teacher to a superintendent. I taught all history classes and have been a head football coach, head track coach, head golf coach and a head tennis coach and an assistant coach to just about everything else. I started my administration career in 2003 as the assistant principal at Sweetwater High School. I was moved to principal in 2006 where I remained for four years. I then moved to Big Spring, Texas as a curriculum specialist in 2010. I was later promoted to Superintendent of Big Spring ISD in 2013 and remained there until moving to Bushland as the Superintendent in 2017.
I have been married to Kelli for 29 years and we are blessed to have two children. Our oldest son, Tyler, is 24 years old and is a graduate of Texas Tech University. He currently lives in Irving, Texas where he is working for Sherwin Williams as an assistant manager. Our youngest son, Garrett, is 22 years old and is currently living in Lubbock, Texas.
